A well planned funeral can play an important role in the healing
process, because it becomes the bridge between the past and the
future.
Each funeral is unique, just as each life is unique. Regardless
whether it is a "Traditional" or a "Remembrance Service", the friends
and relatives gather to celebrate the legacy of a life. For
generations, the funeral service, such as you are now seeing in our
chapel, has been a cultural and religious heritage.
Whatever type of service is chosen, the ceremony will forever be
meaningful to family and friends and the role of the funeral home is
immeasurable. However, changing times have dictated changing
viewpoints for many people. While a great number of funerals are
traditional, there are those who feel funerals are too costly and
request a service in a lower price range.
Another Ceremony that is gaining in popularity is the Remembrance
Service. In order to accommodate those who wish this form of
service, we have created our REMEMBRANCE CENTER. This provides
the ideal setting for an urn, a photograph of the deceased, perhaps
accompanied by flowers and pictures placed on the magnetic collate
board we provide.

Also our staff are very familiar with the requirements of military and
fraternal services. Regardless of the specifications, from flags
to other paraphernalia, we can accommodate and satisfy the most rigid
requirements.
For our client families who do not have a church affiliation, we are
pleased to arrange for them a presider or clergy person as requested.
With the changing cultural mosaic, there is an increasing number of
Canadians who do not have any religious affiliation. We can
assist in planning a funeral that will meet any need.
Whatever your requirements, we at Burquitlam Funeral Home have many
options from a full service funeral to a cost-saving alternative which
will suit any budget. |
