CICHOS, Hubert L. Passed away peacefully with family at his side on June 22, 2010 at 91 years of age. Predeceased by siblings Georg, Ursula, and Barbara. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy; children Win, Roswitha, Andy (Diane), Bernadette (Wally), Reg (Laura); grandchildren Chris, Amy, Eric, Andrea, Karsten, Nadine, Brad, Carla, Alex, Kayti, Christina, Benjamin, Jessica, Angela; and great-grandchildren Carter and Brodie. Hubert was born in Breslau, Germany. In 1951 Hubert brought his family to Canada, first to Saskatchewan, then in 1970 to Coquitlam. Hubert was devoted to his family and his faith. He had a passion for gardening, fishing, and learning. His wife Dorothy was the love of his life since he met her at age 15. Evening Prayers will be held at 7:30 pm on Friday, June 25th at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 3141 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, where the Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 26th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement, 385 East Cordova Street, Vancouver, V6A 1L4.
