SMITH, Richard John Passed away quietly, with his family by his side, on June 30, 2010, at the age of 70. He is survived by his loving wife Dawn; children Jane (Brian), Deborah (Murray), Teresa (Wayne), and Belinda; grandchildren Emma, Samuel, Caleb, Paige, Matthew, and Lindsey; brothers Hugh (Frances), Phillip (Jean), and Peter (Angie); and many nephews, nieces, and close friends. Richard was an accountant in Rhodesia who brought his young family to Canada in 1978. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow and had a great love of writing. A small memorial gathering will be held at 2:00 pm on July 8th at Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam.
