ROUSSY, Manny (Jacques, Manuel) Birth date: December 5, 1932 Birth place: Dalhousie, New Brunswick Manny slipped away with loved ones by his side after a long, brave battle with cancer on July 3, 2010 at age 77. Survived by: wife - Evelyn, Daughters - Wendy (Mike), Joanne (Tim) and son Jim (Audrey), 4 brothers: Paul, Jean, Peter, Albert and 1 sister: Evelyn, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. ""Manny the handy man"" was always ready to help anyone and was much loved and respected by his many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. He spent the early part of his life (20 years) in the RCAF as an avionics technician followed by another 20 years in the pulp and paper industry. He was especially proud of his time spent with the Golden Hawks aerobatic team. His career adventures took him to numerous places across Canada, Germany, Sardinia and other parts of Europe, Greenland, and Puerto Rico. A celebration of his very active life will take place July 31, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Burquitlam Funeral Home - 625 North Road, Coquitlam, BC with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Crossroads Inlet Hospice or the Canadian M.S. Society. Our heartfelt thanks to the palliative care team and the staff and volunteers at the Crossroads Inlet Hospice who cared for and comforted him and his family during his last days.
